Following the introduction of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) in May 2018, all companies must inform their clients of how their personal information will be used and processed.

When Is Data Collected?

To the extent that you access the Website, Family Nutrition Clinic will collect your Data automatically, for example:

  • information about your visit to the Website such as IP address, the date, times and frequency with which you access the Website and the way you use and interact with its content.

However, Family Nutrition Clinic does not collect any personally identifiable information from its website unless you contact Family Nutrition Clinic directly with an enquiry.

When booking appointments and during an appointment, your name/child’s name, telephone number, email address, date of birth, address and GP contact information will be collected. Weight, height, relevant medical, dietary and lifestyle data will also be collected as part of the assessment process.

If you choose to communicate via email, telephone or Rebeccabot, please be aware that these are unfortunately not secure methods of communication. If you choose to use these methods of communication it will be assumed that you have consented to communicating via email, telephone or Rebeccabot, despite the fact that it is not guaranteed to be secure.

Clients can password protect confidential files when emailing and provide Rebecca with the password in a separate text/email if preferred. If not password protected, clients are choosing to transfer this confidential information via email at their own risk.

How Is The Data Used?

All data collected is strictly confidential and will not be passed onto any third parties unless you have given permission to update other healthcare professionals if applicable. The data is held on password protected electronic files on my computer.

Family Nutrition Clinic is legally bound to hold your personal data for 5 years, then all traces of contact will be deleted following this.

Clients can request to access their information held on file in writing to Family Nutrition Clinic at [email protected]
